The AK maps compliment the vanilla and B2K maps perfectly, and make BF3 what it should have been from the start. Maps like Operation Flaming Dart, El Alamein, and Daquing Oilfields. It brings me back to the epic maps of Battlefield 1942, Vietnam and 2. Armored Kill, however, was exactly the scratch that my old itch needed. As time wore on, I found myself increasingly enjoying BF3's style of map, where even the biggest maps like Caspian and Firestorm had closely-strung-together capture points, lending to a more infantry-centric experience (clearly to compensate for the 360/PS3's 24-person limit). With the release of Armored Kill, I FINALLY feel like Battlefield 3 is a complete game! Despite my love of BF3 & B2K, I often found myself craving a more "classic" Battlefield experience, even if I was unable to put into words what exactly that meant.
